U.S. President Donald Trump announced the sanctions he has imposed on the country, claiming that farmers in South Africa have been mistreated.
US President Donald Trump stated that farmers in South Africa are being mistreated, saying, "South Africa is treating long-term farmers in the country horribly. They are seizing their land and farms, and much worse. It is a terrible place to be right now, and we are stopping all federal funding."
Since taking office on January 20, US President Donald Trump has imposed sanctions on many countries; most recently, he made a decision to impose sanctions on South Africa.

In a statement from his own social media platform Truth Social, President Trump said, "South Africa is treating long-term farmers in the country horribly. They are seizing their land and farms, and much worse. It is a terrible place to be right now, and we are stopping all federal funding."
"WE WILL INVITE THEM TO THE US"
Trump also stated, "All farmers from South Africa who wish to flee for safety, along with their families, will be invited to the US with a fast-track citizenship process. This process will begin immediately."
