Details of the incident involving 10-year-old Amir El Cedduh, whose body was found half-buried under stones, rock fragments, and soil by the dam after being missing for 50 hours in Reyhanlı district of Hatay, were revealed by security camera footage. It was determined that the person who assaulted the little boy and buried him with stones was his uncle, M.E., after examining the camera of a nearby vineyard. The suspect was arrested by the court to which he was brought.

Ramazan Albayrak, the rescue worker who found the child, described the moment: "I heard the child screaming 'help' from under the big stones. I lifted 7 stones the size of rocks off him. The child said it was his uncle who did it."

Father Muhammed El Cedduh thanked the officer who found his son by kissing his forehead and called out, "The monster who did this to my son should receive the heaviest punishment." It was reported that the child's consciousness was clear and that his treatment was ongoing at Hatay Training and Research Hospital.
