Turkey's Ambassador to Damascus, Nuh Yılmaz, presented his letter of credence to Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani. As a memento, the ambassador was gifted a special Syrian pound symbolizing the new Syria, and he expressed a commitment to strengthening the ties between the two countries.
Turkey's Ambassador to Damascus, Nuh Yılmaz, has officially started his duties as the first Turkish ambassador appointed after 13 years. Yılmaz formally began his mission by presenting a copy of his letter of credence to the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad al-Shaibani.
PRESENTED THE LETTER OF CREDENCE
Ambassador Yılmaz stated on his social media account, "Today, I presented a copy of my letter of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Asaad al-Shaibani."
NEW SYRIAN POUND GIFTED
Yılmaz thanked Minister al-Shaibani for presenting him with a special series numbered Syrian Pound symbolizing the new Syria as a memento.
In his statement, Yılmaz said, "Today, I presented a copy of my letter of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Asaad al-Shaibani. I thank the Minister for his kind acceptance in presenting me with a special series numbered Syrian Pound symbolizing the new Syria as a memento.
We will work with all our strength to further strengthen our ties with our neighboring brother country, Syria."
