Turkey's Benchmark Stock İndex Flat At Open

Turkey's benchmark stock index rose by 0.10 percent or 101.64 points to open at 102,298.21 points Thursday.



On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 0.47 percent to close the day at 102,196.57 points with a daily trading volume of 6.62 billion Turkish liras ($1.21 billion).



The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.4670 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Thursday, compared to 5.4620 at the last close.



The euro/lira exchange rate was 6.2000, versus 6.1820 at the previous close. One British pound was exchanged for 7.2610 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY rate was 7.2240 by market close on Wednesday.



The price of Brent oil was around $67.81 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time on Thursday. -
