Economic difficulties continue to shake the furniture industry. Pramo Furniture, based in Kocaeli and operating for 25 years, has officially declared bankruptcy by court order.
One of Turkey's leading furniture manufacturers, Pramo Furniture, has officially declared bankruptcy following a court decision after 25 years of operation. The decision regarding the company's bankruptcy was made as a result of the concordat case heard at the Gebze Commercial Court.
ALL LEGAL MEASURES HAVE BEEN LIFTED
The court ruled that Pramo Furniture, which applied for concordat, was unable to pay its debts and declared bankruptcy. With this decision, all legal measures against the company were lifted, and the duty of the concordat commissioner officially ended.
IT WAS ALSO MAKING A NAME FOR ITSELF IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET
For many years, Pramo Furniture, which established a solid place in the industry with modern and durable furniture production, was making a name for itself not only domestically but also in the international market. The company particularly stands out with its aesthetic and long-lasting products produced in the luxury segment; it emphasized that it adhered to health and quality standards in its production processes.
A NEW REFLECTION OF THE SECTORAL CRISIS
The bankruptcy of Pramo Furniture has once again brought to the forefront the economic challenges faced by the furniture sector in Turkey. Experts state that rising production costs, fluctuations in exchange rates, and the contraction in the domestic market are seriously challenging companies. Warnings are being made that similar bankruptcies in the sector may increase in the coming period.
