The former president of Kayserispor, Berna Gözbaşı, and the board members are facing seizure proceedings due to a tax debt of 69 million TL.
The first female president of Kayserispor, one of the Super League teams, Berna Gözbaşı, has had her real estate and bank accounts subjected to seizure and blocking procedures.
SEIZURE AND BLOCKING OF BANK ACCOUNTS
It has been learned that due to a total tax debt of 69 million TL, including principal and interest, accumulated by Kayserispor in 2020, the bank accounts and movable and immovable properties of the club's president Berna Gözbaşı and 16 board members at that time were seized and blocked by the Mimarsan Tax Office.
The Mimarsan Tax Office, which took action to collect Kayserispor's tax debt, issued a seizure and blocking decision for the bank accounts and real estate belonging to the president and board members of that period.
MADE HISTORY AS THE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF THE SUPER LEAGUE
Gözbaşı was elected president at the Extraordinary General Assembly following the resignation of President Erol Bedir in 2019, making history as the first female football club president in the history of the Super League.
Gözbaşı, who is the first female member of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, was selected as one of the "Top 10 Entrepreneurs" by the European Business Awards in 2011.
