Anadolu Yemcilik, based in Konya, went bankrupt after failing to successfully navigate the concordat process it applied for due to economic difficulties. The court has halted the company's operations.

Based in Konya, Anadolu Yemcilik was unable to successfully exit the concordat process it applied for in 2024 due to economic difficulties. While the company's efforts to restructure its debts were unsuccessful, the Konya 3rd Commercial Court decided on January 10, 2025, to declare the company's bankruptcy.

A TEMPORARY STAY PROCESS HAD BEEN INITIATED

Anadolu Yemcilik aimed to restructure its debts and continue its commercial activities by obtaining a temporary stay from the court on September 26, 2024. However, this period granted to escape the economic bottleneck, although extended for another 2 months on December 13, 2024, was not sufficient.

INSPECTIONS HAVE ENDED

The terms of the commissioners appointed to monitor the company's financial situation during the concordat process ended with the bankruptcy decision. A bankruptcy desk was established at the Karapınar Enforcement Bankruptcy Office for the liquidation of debts and the payment of receivables.

HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL PROBLEMS FOR A WHILE

The court announced that Anadolu Yemcilik could not continue its operations and had become unable to pay its debts, thereby lifting the measures taken with the temporary stay. This decision led to the end of the company's commercial life.
