Benchmark index gains around 43 points at opening session.
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,217.42 points, gaining 0.47% or 42.88 points versus the previous close.
At Monday's closing session, the BIST 100 index rose 1.42% to a new historic high close of 9,174.58 points with a daily transaction volume of 139 billion liras ($4.54 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 30.7215 as of 10.05 a.m. local time (0705GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 33.1270, while the GBP/TRY rate was 38.8090.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,037.60, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $82.35. -
