Turkish Stocks Down In Friday Opening Session

BIST 100 index falls over 6 points from previous close.

Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,008.05 points on Friday, down 6.16 points, or 0.31% from the previous close.

The BIST 100 index fell 1.36% to close at 2,014.21 points on Thursday, with a daily trading volume of 47.77 billion liras ($3.55 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 13.4325 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 13.3570.

The euro/lira exchange rate went up to 15.2261 from 15.1810, while a British pound traded for 18.2575 liras, rising from 18.2340.

Brent crude oil sold for around $86.94 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time . -
