Turkish Stocks Flat In Friday Opening Session

BIST 100 index sees marginal rise of 0.70 points in opening session.

Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,071.35 points on Friday, a slight increase of 0.70 points, or 0.03%, from the previous close.

The BIST 100 index rose 6.44 points, or 0.31%, to close Thursday at 2,070.65 points, with a daily trading volume of 40.1 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 13.5200 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 13.5920 at Thursday's close.

The euro/lira exchange rate was down to 15.5300 from 15.6100, while a British pound traded for 18.5900 liras, dropping from 18.7220.

Brent crude oil sold for around $84.73 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time . -
