Turkiye, Bosnia To Boost Cooperation On Participation Banking

Participation Banks Association of Turkiye, Bosna Bank International sign memorandum of understanding to strengthen ties.

The Participation Banks Association of Turkiye (TKBB) and Bosna Bank International (BBI) have signed an agreement to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked during the 11th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) held in the Bosnian capital on May 11-12, according to a TKBB statement issued on Wednesday.
The two countries will work on transferring knowledge and skills, as well as jointly organizing events and activities, the statement said.
Cooperation on matters such as participation banking principles and mutual promotion of business and banking institutions will be a priority, it added.
"We have always had a heartfelt bond with this region. BBI's relations with our participation banks will help further reinforce the strong economic ties between our countries," said Ismail Vural, deputy secretary general of the TKBB.
BBI chief Alek Bakalovic said the pact "will take our cooperation to the next level."
"We want to strengthen bilateral relations between our countries," he added.
