Türkiye's BIST 100 Index Closes Wednesday With Loses

Benchmark index falls 17.62 points from previous close.

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 9.530,47 points, down 0.18% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 17.62 points from Tuesday's close of 9,548.09 points.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 8.2 trillion liras ($251.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 98 billion liras ($3.03 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,408.95 while Brent crude oil sold for around $89.20 per barrel as of 6.04 p.m. local time (1504GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 32.5107, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.6348, while the British pound traded at 40.4964 liras. -
