During inspections conducted by the Alanya Municipality's Zoning Department teams in Antalya, a large number of food products with erased and expired expiration dates were detected, including baby food, children's milk, chicken, and ready-made meatballs. Two branches of a chain supermarket were sealed for three days by council decision and penal actions were taken.
Under the instruction of Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, the teams of the Zabıta Directorate continue their inspections in all businesses such as markets, restaurants, cafes, butchers, bakeries, and pastry shops in the district. The teams apply necessary penalties to businesses that endanger public health and do not comply with hygiene rules.
THEY ENDANGERED THE HEALTH OF INFANTS
During the inspections, it was determined that a chain market branch located on Eşref Kahvecioğlu Street in Güllerpınarı Neighborhood was selling expired baby food, children's milk, chicken, meatballs, milk, and pastries. Additionally, another chain market branch located on Hacet Street in Güllerpınarı Neighborhood was found to be selling expired and erased products.
SEALED
The businesses for which reports were prepared were referred to the Alanya Municipality Council. The teams, which acted upon the council's decision, imposed penalties on the two chain market branches and sealed them, halting commercial activities for three days. It was emphasized that inspections by the Alanya Municipality would continue frequently and decisively.
