Two detainees were subjected to a home exercise regarding the baby who was sexually abused in Tekirdağ.

Bakiye Yeniçeri, who lives in Malkara, took her daughter S.Y. to Malkara State Hospital on August 2nd. Mother Yeniçeri said that her child, who had bruises on her body, was dropped and injured by her neighbor. After the examination, S.Y. was returned to her family. The family took S.Y. to Malkara State Hospital again on the evening of September 8th. Doctors who examined the unconscious S.Y. reported the situation to the police when they saw signs of abuse and bruises. S.Y., who was in critical condition, was referred to Tekirdağ İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital. It was determined that S.Y. had a brain hemorrhage, evidence of physical abuse was obtained, and she underwent surgery. The hospital also sent the DNA samples it obtained from S.Y. to Tekirdağ Forensic Medicine Institute for examination.

HER SISTER IS UNDER PROTECTION

While the Malkara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation into the incident, the Directorate of Family and Social Services also consulted the family and neighbors. Bakiye Yeniçeri claimed that her daughter was injured by falling from the television unit of the neighbors she left. The Directorate filed a criminal complaint against the mother and stepfather Sanlı Ö., and the 5-year-old sister of the family was taken under protection.

5 SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED

Within the scope of the investigation, Tekirdağ Police Department teams detained 5 people, including Bakiye Yeniçeri. Bakiye Yeniçeri, who lived together with Sanlı Ö. through religious marriage, neighbor Kani A., and the children of the neighbor where the baby was left, G.A. and K.A., were arrested. Tekirdağ Bar Association President Egemen Gürcün announced on September 11th that it was confirmed by forensic medical reports that S.Y. was sexually abused.

HOME EXERCISE WAS CONDUCTED

G.A. and K.A., the neighbor children who were arrested in connection with the incident, were given a home exercise today at their house in Camiatik Neighborhood. G.A. and K.A., who were taken from the prison they were in, were brought to the house under tight security measures. Tekirdağ Police Department took extensive security measures during the exercise. The streets where the incident occurred were closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
