In a traffic accident that occurred on the road to Beğendik Town in the Keşan district of Edirne, two people on a motorcycle collided with a car and lost their lives.
The car with license plate 22 AEE 097, driven by E.D. (38), collided with a motorcycle without a license plate, whose driver has not yet been identified, while overtaking near Beykent Neighborhood.
THROWN FROM THE MOTORCYCLE
In the accident, Kemal Bayram (49) and Bülent Çakır (45), who were thrown from the motorcycle that overturned after leaving the road, lost their lives at the scene. Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The bodies of Bayram and Çakır were placed in the morgue of Keşan State Hospital after the examination by the on-duty prosecutor and gendarmerie.
CAR DRIVER IN CUSTODY
Keşan District Governor Cemalettin Yılmaz and Beğendik Mayor Ferat Gülver also arrived at the scene to gather information from the authorities. It was learned that the accident occurred while Kemal Bayram and Bülent Çakır were on their way from Keşan to Hacı village in the İpsala district where they lived. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident, and the car driver E.D. has been taken into custody by the gendarmerie.
