CNN Türk reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman, who were detained while live broadcasting from Israel, have been released.

The CNN Türk team broadcasting live from Israel was detained by Israeli soldiers. The Israeli soldiers, who did not allow the live broadcast, took reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman into custody.

ISRAEL RELEASED TURKISH JOURNALISTS

A new development has occurred regarding the Turkish journalists, who had not been heard from for hours. Çakmak and Kahraman were released.

On the other hand, the Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran, who made a statement on the matter, said, "We are facing another attack by Israel on the press to conceal the truth. I learned that CNN Türk reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman were detained in Israel. We are making the necessary efforts for our journalist colleagues to be released as soon as possible and we are closely following the issue."

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik stated, "The detention of CNN Türk reporter Emrah Çakmak and cameraman Halil Kahraman by Israeli forces is an attack on press freedom. This detention decision is unacceptable. Journalists must be released as soon as possible. We are closely monitoring the issue."
