The Ukrainian army has launched a renewed offensive in Russia's Kursk region. Moscow confirmed the attack, and it was claimed that after Putin's sudden counterattack, he sent his most prominent general to the area.

The Ukrainian army has reportedly launched renewed attacks in several directions in Russia's Kursk region. Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, stated on his social media account that his country's defense forces have launched an attack in Russia's Kursk region.

"THE RUSSIANS ARE VERY CONCERNED"

Kovalenko said, "The Russians are very concerned in the Kursk region because they have been attacked in several directions, and this was a surprise for them. Our defense forces are working." Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, also stated on his social media account regarding the attack by Ukrainian forces on Kursk, "There is good news from the Kursk region. Russia is getting what it deserves."

MOSCOW HAS CONFIRMED

The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that the Ukrainian army has launched a counter-offensive to halt the advance of its troops in the Kursk region. In a statement from the ministry, it was noted that around 09:00 Moscow time, the Ukrainian army launched a counter-offensive from the direction of Berdin farm with a landing force consisting of 2 tanks, one technical vehicle, and 12 armored combat vehicles to stop the advance of Russian military units in the Kursk region.

"THE OPERATION TO DESTROY UKRAINIAN UNITS CONTINUES"

In the statement, it was reported that the Russian Northern military units' air and artillery groups attacked the Ukrainian Armed Forces' landing forces, resulting in the destruction of 2 tanks, one technical vehicle, and 7 armored combat vehicles, and it was stated that "the operation to destroy Ukrainian military units continues."

PUTIN SENT HIS FAVORITE GENERAL

The UK-based newspaper The Telegraph reported that following the sudden counter-attack, Russia sent one of its highest-ranking generals to the Kursk region. According to the report, Deputy Defense Minister General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov set off for Kursk this morning. It is claimed that Yevkurov, who will personally oversee the operations in the region, is one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's most favored generals.
