WHAT HAPPENED?

Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu announced that Narin Güran, who went missing, was found dead on September 8 at around 08:45 am, hidden in a sack with stones on the side of Eğertutmaz Stream. Zorluoğlu stated, "According to the initial findings, it has been understood that the missing Narin Güran was put into a sack after being killed, brought to the side of the stream, placed in the water along with the sack, and covered with tree branches and stones to create a natural appearance that would not raise suspicion."

Nevzat Bahtiyar (48), one of the 24 suspects detained as part of the investigation, claimed in his statement to the gendarmerie that Salim Güran, the uncle, asked him to dispose of the lifeless body of the little girl in the stream in exchange for 200,000 liras. He was referred to the courthouse.
