A university student named Beyza A., who tried to enter a shopping mall in Şişli with a magazine and bullets in her bag, was noticed during an X-ray check and left the area. After being apprehended later, searches at addresses linked to her boyfriend Erol G., who was detained based on her statement, led to the seizure of a total of 606 bullets. The two suspects, referred to the courthouse on charges of "violating the Firearms Law," were arrested. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Erol G. is married and has two children.

Following the incident, Beyza A. and her boyfriend Erol G. were arrested, and a total of 606 bullets were seized in raids at 7 addresses.

FLED WHEN DETECTED ON X-RAY

The incident occurred at a shopping mall in Şişli on July 6. University student Beyza A. attempted to enter the mall with a magazine and bullets in her bag. When the ammunition was noticed during the X-ray machine check, security guards asked for a license. Upon this, Beyza A. left the area without entering the mall.

CAUGHT AT AN ENTERTAINMENT VENUE

Acting on the report, teams from the Şişli Public Order Bureau identified the suspect through security camera footage. Beyza A. was caught at an entertainment venue in Beşiktaş Etiler, and a search of her bag yielded a magazine and 25 bullets.

"MY BOYFRIEND ASKED ME TO BRING THEM"

In her statement to the police, Beyza A. claimed that she found the magazine and bullets while cleaning the house her boyfriend Erol G. had rented for her, and that Erol G. asked her to bring them to him. She said she set out to take the ammunition to her boyfriend at the mall, and fled in fear when detected during the X-ray check. Following this statement, police also detained Erol G.

606 BULLETS SEIZED AT 7 ADDRESSES

Deepening the investigation, teams searched 7 addresses linked to Erol G. They found 564 bullets at his workplace in Sarıyer and 17 bullets at his father's house. A total of 606 bullets were confiscated, including the 25 bullets seized from Beyza A.'s bag. No evidence of crime was found at the other addresses.

TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED

After their procedures at the police station, Beyza A. and Erol G. were referred to the courthouse and arrested by the court on charges of "violating the Firearms Law." It was learned that Erol G. is married and the father of two children.
