US President Donald Trump criticized the governments of Spain and the United Kingdom for not supporting their attacks on Iran.
In a phone interview with the American New York Post newspaper, President Trump made statements regarding the Iran agenda.
TARGETING SPAIN AND THE UNITED KINGDOM
Addressing both the Spanish and British governments, Trump emphasized that he expects strong support from these two countries regarding the attacks on Iran that they initiated with Israel.
Trump stated, "There are many winners in this process, but Spain is a losing country and the UK is a great disappointment. Spain's behavior is hostile to NATO."
"THEY ARE NOT GOOD TEAM PLAYERS"
Complaining about Spain not allowing the US military to use its bases and not paying its 5% contribution under NATO, President Trump said, "They are not good team players; we will not be team players with Spain again."
"HE IS NOT CHURCHILL"
Trump also criticized UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, saying, "He is not Winston Churchill. His performance is disappointing. He should provide us with unquestioning and unwavering support, for example, regarding the use of bases..."
WHAT HAPPENED?
In his statements about Iran yesterday, Trump also reacted to these two countries and threatened to cut commercial and economic relations with Spain.
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that Spain had agreed with the US military regarding the use of its bases, but this statement was soon denied by Spain.
