34-year-old Adem Gürler, who lives in Kırıkkale, couldn't believe his eyes when he saw 55 million lira in his bank account. Gürler said, "Even the bank employees initially thought it was 55 thousand, and when they realized it was 55 million, they couldn't believe it. At that moment, when I saw the money in my account, life ended; my dreams truly began."
Adem Gürler, a 34-year-old resident of the Keskin district in Kırıkkale, was left speechless when he logged into his mobile banking application and saw a balance of 55 million lira. Gürler stated that he accessed his account to check the 6,750 lira sent by a friend, only to be confronted with millions of lira on the screen. He explained that his account has been blocked and requested that the authorities clarify the situation.
"IT REALLY FELT LIKE DREAMS HAD BEGUN"
Adem Gürler said, "Last Monday, my friend transferred 6,750 lira to my account. I hadn't logged into my account until that day. When I logged in, I saw 55 million. Right now, my accounts are blocked. I got information from the police and gendarmerie, and they said they couldn't do anything and that no file had been opened. When I saw the money in my account at that moment, life ended; it really felt like dreams had begun. I mean, I did think about it when I saw 55 million in my account."
"BANK EMPLOYEES WERE ALSO SHOCKED"
Expressing that his account has been seized and he cannot perform any transactions, Gürler stated, "Since MASAK seized it, the bank couldn't do anything either. I'm stuck like this; I can't use my bank account right now. I want my state officials to at least look into who sent this money, what happened, and where it came from. I don't want them to give it to me; I want to resolve it legally. I am the one who is victimized here; I can't use my account. It's a sum of money big enough to dream about. I wouldn't be able to see that amount of money even if I worked for 55 years. The bank employees initially said it was 55 thousand lira, but when they saw 55 million, they were also shocked. They asked, 'What kind of money is this?' You see me; I am a working-class person, a laborer. I am someone who makes a living on my own."
"I'M ONE IN A MILLION"
Gürler also mentioned that he researched similar situations on social media but couldn't find any examples, stating, "In our country, someone who says, 'I am very rich, but I have 55 million in my account and I won't use it' is lying. This is the first time this has happened to me. I am 34 years old, and it won't happen again in another 34 years. I am one in a million. I also looked into social media accounts related to this issue and researched it. I didn't receive any responses saying that it happened to someone among millions of people."
