AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Abdullah Güler. AK PARTY'S GÜLER: WE WORKED ON THE IMPACT ANALYSIS AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Abdullah Güler answered questions about the increase of the minimum pension in a live broadcast on CNN Turk yesterday. Güler, who stated that they evaluated the issue with Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, AK Party Deputy Chairmen Efkan Ala and Mustafa Elitaş under the chairmanship of Deputy President Cevdet Yılmaz last weekend, said the following; "We worked on the impact analysis of our ministries. What is the burden it will bring to our retirement system, what are the budget possibilities in return? Because at the same time, the budget counterpart of this had to be determined. We gathered the analyses about this and some figures emerged. Hopefully, we will present it to President Erdogan tonight (yesterday). We are planning to present it to the Presidency of the Parliament tomorrow (today) along with the final figures, I guess, together with the tax regulation."
"IT WOULDN'T BE RIGHT TO GIVE A FIGURE RIGHT NOW" When asked about what the minimum pension will be, Güler gave the following answer: "It wouldn't be right to give a figure right now. Because there are some alternatives. The budget counterpart and sustainability are important. Because we are conducting a tight fight against inflation with our Medium-Term Program. We need to continue this without imposing any burden or causing any negativity. Sustainability is our most important factor. Budget balances are the most important perspective here and we need to determine the budget counterpart very well. Since there are a few alternatives, we will share it with our esteemed nation tomorrow (today). It will be included in our law proposal to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly."
Güler, who reminded that the minimum pension is currently completed with support from the Treasury at 10,000 TL, used the expression "We will continue the same way as in the past, by completing the figure that will emerge in the same way."
