To celebrate the entry of opposition forces into Damascus, a Syrian shopkeeper in Kasımpaşa distributed free lokma to citizens.

After the opposition groups advanced to the capital Damascus in Syria, the 61-year Ba'ath regime came to an end, and Bashar al-Assad fled to Russia.

A Syrian tradesman in Kasımpaşa distributed free lokma to celebrate the entry of the opposition into Damascus. Following the announcement that the opposition forces had entered Damascus, Syrians in Turkey celebrated.

A Syrian tradesman in Beyoğlu Kasımpaşa shared his joy by distributing free lokma to citizens in the square where he arrived with his vehicle. It was seen on the tradesman's LED sign that it read, "Assad has fallen, I am offering lokma to share this joy."
