A woman experienced a nightmare when she encountered a thief with a knife upon entering her home in Ümraniye. The thief, who stole five gold bracelets and one ring from her, locked her in the bedroom and fled. The woman, who jumped out of the window to escape the robber, was taken to the hospital. It was revealed that the person who instigated the thief was a relative of the woman, who was caught while trying to exchange the stolen gold.
A shocking theft incident occurred on November 27 in Hasan Yıldırım Street, Ihlamurkuyu Neighborhood, Ümraniye district of Istanbul. S.F., who entered his home, encountered a person wearing an orange vest, a black motorcycle helmet, and gray pants.
HE STOLE HIS BRACELETS AND LOCKED HIM IN THE ROOM
The suspect, who was reported to be holding a knife, took S.F.'s 5 gold bracelets and 1 ring from his arm and locked him in the bedroom. While the suspect continued to search for money in the house, S.F. opened the bedroom window and jumped down. The suspect, panicking, fled the scene while the injured S.F. was taken to Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital for treatment.
2 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Following the incident, the Robbery Bureau initiated an investigation, examining all security cameras in the area in line with S.F.'s description of the suspect. Teams analyzing hundreds of hours of security camera footage identified the suspects. In an operation, C.Y. (46) and H.A.F. (29) were detained.
ONE TURNED OUT TO BE A RELATIVE OF THE WOMAN
During the interrogation at the Public Order Branch, it was revealed that H.A.F. was a relative of S.F. It was learned that H.A.F. instigated the suspect named C.Y. to carry out the act and took the stolen gold to a jeweler to exchange it after the incident.
HE ALSO DECEIVED HIS ACCOMPLICE
In the investigation, it was determined that H.A.F. deceived his accomplice by saying, "Some of the gold turned out to be imitation," and gave him less money. After completing their procedures at the police station, the two suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested and sent to prison.
