"WE WANTED OUR PEOPLE TO EAT IT BECAUSE IT'S OUR OWN PRODUCT"

Mehmet Kutsal, who stated that they will distribute watermelon again in September due to the high yield of watermelon, said, "We plant watermelon on 150 acres in this region. We plant 300 acres including Erbaa and Yozgat. We wanted to distribute watermelon. We wanted our people to eat it because it's our own product. We distributed nearly 17 tons of watermelon. We are also pleased and there will be more to come. We didn't expect to receive this much demand. We got excited too. The truck was finished in 45 minutes," he said.

Kutsal, who expressed that he did not expect such a demand, said, "We have no expectations. We distributed it purely to do good. We still have 50 acres of watermelon to be harvested in the field. We are thinking of distributing it again around the ninth month. We distributed it so that those who couldn't get it can eat it," he said.
