A driver who fled from the police in Iğdır crashed into a motorcycle with the vehicle he was driving. The accident, in which a municipal worker on the motorcycle was injured, was captured by security cameras, and it was determined that the driver of the vehicle being pursued by the teams was Şiyar Güneş. It was learned that Güneş, who was found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.9 promille and was imposed an administrative fine of 640,000 TL, is the son of Iğdır Mayor Mehmet Nuri Güneş.
In Iğdır, during the night hours, police teams conducting a shock application on Zübeyde Hanım Boulevard saw that the driver of a vehicle started to flee.

Police teams following the fleeing driver intervened in the situation. It was determined that municipal worker Yusuf Öztürk (55) was injured in the accident. After the first intervention by the medical personnel dispatched to the area upon notification, Öztürk was taken to Iğdır State Hospital. Fractures were detected in Öztürk's right foot and left kneecap, and he was transferred from there to Erzurum.

During the identity check of the driver who caused the accident while fleeing from the police, it was determined that his name was Şiyar Güneş. The driver, who was found to be 2.9 promille alcohol intoxicated and had his license revoked 3 times in 5 years, was fined 640,000 TL.
