Due to a severe storm affecting France, life came to a standstill. A session was interrupted in the National Assembly in the capital, Paris, due to water leaking from the ceiling, and two people died in the disaster. Meanwhile, police teams patrolling the streets of Paris after the flooding played the music from the movie Titanic.
A severe storm and rainfall that hit France at night brought disaster. Trees and power lines were toppled, and flooding occurred on streets and avenues. According to the electricity distribution company Enedis, 100,000 households were left without electricity.
A 12-year-old child lost his life when a tree fell on him in the Tarn-et-Garonne department. In the Mayenne region, a man riding an ATV died when a tree fell onto the road.
Alexandre Jouassard, Deputy of the Civil Security Crisis Management Operations Center, announced that so far 2 people have lost their lives in the storm, and 17 people, including those seriously injured, have been injured.
WATER LEAKED FROM THE PARLIAMENT CEILING
