While world public opinion focuses on the US-Iran talks in Switzerland and hopes for a ceasefire in Lebanon, the bodies of 13 people were recovered from the rubble in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the death toll from attacks since March 2 has risen to 4,106, and the number of wounded to 12,153. While peace is being discussed at the diplomatic table, the painful toll on the ground continues to worsen.
While talks between the US and Iran in Switzerland, where significant decisions were made to end the conflicts in Lebanon, remain on the world agenda, the traces of war continue in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese Civil Defense teams recovered the lifeless bodies of 13 individuals from under the rubble during their operations in the Nabatieh and Marjayoun regions in the country's south.
RUBBLE REMOVAL WORK CONTINUES
In a statement by the Civil Defense, it was noted that teams are not only working to reach those trapped under the rubble but also continuing to clear roads in the area to restore transportation.
It was reported that debris accumulated on main and side roads in Nabatieh, as well as in the towns of Dibbin and Blatt, is being removed.
