In Erzurum, a 28-year-old young man thought that the spray paint he was using to prepare a gift for his fiancée had frozen because it wasn't working, so he tried to warm it up. The spray paint can exploded in his hand. The young man, who suffered burns on his fingers, neck, and face, was treated in the hospital. He said, "No one should do what I did. If the paint isn't coming out of the spray can, they should never try to heat it up; they should just buy a new one."

On April 5th, in the rural Eskipolat neighborhood of the Aziziye district in Erzurum, 28-year-old Muhammed Yılmaz experienced an unfortunate incident. Working in construction during the summer and engaging in livestock farming in his village during the winter, Muhammed Yılmaz wanted to prepare a gift package for his fiancée.
HE RESORTED TO AN UNBELIEVABLE METHOD
Yılmaz's spray paint can, which he squeezed to paint the wooden fruit box he intended to put the gifts in, did not work. Thinking that the spray can might be frozen, Yılmaz placed it in a pot of water on the stove in the kitchen to wait.
THE SPRAY CAN EXPLODED IN HIS HAND LIKE A BOMB
After a while, to check if it had thawed, the spray can he shook in his hand exploded like a bomb. Yılmaz, who suffered burns on his right fingers, neck, and face, was taken to the hospital by his father and cousin. During this time, a fire broke out in the house, which was empty. The explosion and fire caused damage to the house.
"NO ONE SHOULD DO WHAT I DID"
Muhammed Yılmaz, the fourth of eight children of the couple Adile and Hasan Yılmaz, recounted his experience with the following words: "I bought a box to prepare a gift package for my fiancée. I bought spray paint to decorate the box. I pressed the spray, but no paint came out, so I thought I would heat it in hot water, maybe it would open. After heating it, I remember shaking it in my hand. It exploded at that moment. The door and window of the house were damaged, and a fire broke out. My father and cousin were with me, they helped, and they brought me to the hospital. I have burns on my fingers, face, and throat. No one should do what I did. If no paint comes out of the spray, they should not heat it, they should buy a new one," he said.
