With the arrival of spring, the increasing temperatures have recently given way to cold and rainy weather. Following the warnings from the General Directorate of Meteorology, temperatures have dropped across the country, and snowfall has been observed in many cities.
SNOW IN THE HIGHER PARTS OF ANKARA
In the capital Ankara, snowfall was effective in the higher parts of Kızılcahamam, Çamlıdere, and Çubuk districts, as well as in the plateaus in April. Snow was also seen in the Akyarma area on the Ankara-Istanbul road. Authorities reported that there were no road closures in the region.
SNOWFALL CONTINUES IN TOKAT
In Tokat, snowfall was observed around the district center, the 1600-meter-high Üçoluk Pond, and the Başçiftlik Ski Center. While the roofs of buildings and fields were covered in white, it was learned that the precipitation continued intermittently.
RAIN TURNED TO SNOW IN BOLU
In Bolu, the heavy rain in the higher parts of Kartalkaya, Sarıalan, and Aladağ plateaus, as well as Gölcük Nature Park, turned into snowfall during the night hours. After the precipitation, postcard-like views emerged in the region.
KARABÜK AND ÇANKIRI ALSO TURNED WHITE
The village of Beydili in the Ovacık district of Karabük was covered in a white blanket with the snowfall that started in the morning hours. In Çankırı, the rain that started at night turned into snow in the morning hours in the districts of Çerkeş, Orta, and Ilgaz. While vehicles and fields were covered in snow, it was noted that the precipitation continued intermittently in the region.
