MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli erupted in response to the allegations raised regarding his absence from Anıtkabir on October 29 during his party's group meeting and explained his reasoning. Bahçeli stated, "Could it not be that our decision not to go to Anıtkabir stems from a human condition? Is it out of the question that we might have faced a special situation that day?"

The MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made striking statements regarding current issues at his party's group meeting.

Responding to claims that "there is a crack in the People's Alliance" based on his not going to Anıtkabir on October 29 and not attending the reception, MHP leader Bahçeli said, "Why didn't I go to Anıtkabir on October 29? Why did I protest the Republic reception at the Presidential Complex? There are claims of deep disagreements in Cyprus policy. There are claims that there is something wrong with my appearance. There are claims this way, and that way. Please, gentlemen, please. All the claimants have failed."

WHY DIDN'T HE GO TO ANITKABIR?

Bahçeli also explained the reason for not going to Anıtkabir, saying, "Could it not be that our not going to Anıtkabir stems from a human condition? Is it out of the question that we might have faced a special situation that day?"

Bahçeli continued his remarks as follows; "Perhaps we could see the events, who is doing business with whom, what is being said, and the speculations in their minds as a litmus test; a means of examination, a testing process, an opportunity to learn?"

"THOSE WHO SERVED THEIR PHOTOS FROM THE RECEPTION..."

We couldn't go to Anıtkabir, but if we had attended the reception, wouldn't we have been presented as "they protested Anıtkabir"? How would not going to the ceremony at Anıtkabir and attending the reception be evaluated as a correct, balanced, and accurate behavior? Isn't it a shameful and asymmetric double standard not to see those who rushed to the reception after not going to Anıtkabir, those who served their photos? I have said little; let the group that invests in distortion and division understand a lot.
