Workers and civil servants in Greece went on a 24-hour strike demanding that the government take measures against the rising cost of living. Due to the strike, public transportation was disrupted in many cities, especially in the capital, Athens, while rail and maritime transport came to a complete halt.

THEY ARE DEMANDING INCREASES IN SALARIES
The protesters expressed their demands for the government to find solutions to the cost of living and to increase salaries. Retirees demanded the reinstatement of the 13th and 14th salary payments that were canceled during the economic crisis that began in 2009. Palestinian flags were also present at the demonstration in support of Palestine against Israeli attacks.
