Yeliz Yeşilmen: My father married me off through an arranged marriage.

This week's guest on the Haber Bahane program, broadcast on Haberler.com's YouTube channel with the presentation of Gökay Kalaycıoğlu, was the host Yeliz Yeşilmen. Yeşilmen, who answered all questions sincerely, shared the unknowns of her tragic life story.

Talking about family relationships, Yeliz Yeşilmen stated that her father was very jealous and had physically abused her multiple times.

"My father would question the boys I was friends with at school. He carried an unlicensed gun on his belt and would pull it out if someone looked at me on the street. Although he was a good father in some ways, he beat me with a belt because of the bad grades on my report card."

Yeşilmen, who confessed that her father married her off at the age of 16 due to his extreme jealousy, said,

"During my third year of high school, I had a six-month arranged marriage. I had to go abroad. I had never forgiven my father, but he tried to make me forgive him. We reconciled and solved our problems. I experienced a huge trauma and tried to commit suicide multiple times, and later, thanks to my father, I stepped into the television world."

Speaking about the leopard lingerie photos of her ex-husband Ali Uğur Akbaş that made headlines in the tabloids, Yeşilmen clarified the situation with the following words:

"It was his birthday; I just took the photo and posted it, but the person who blew this incident and news out of proportion is Deniz Akkaya."
