In Syria, where the ceasefire has been extended for 15 days, it is claimed that a partial agreement has been reached between the Damascus government and the terrorist organization YPG/SDG. It is alleged that the organization's leaders, Mazlum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed, have come to the capital, Damascus, to negotiate with the Syrian government; the agreement reportedly includes new integration talks, the transfer of security in Hasakah and Qamishli to the Syrian Ministry of Interior, the YPG elements remaining in the areas they occupy, and the cessation of military operations.

A partial agreement was reportedly reached between the Syrian government and the terrorist organization YPG/SDG in Syria, where the ceasefire has been extended for 15 days.

According to a report by Reuters citing a Syrian official, the Damascus administration aims to hold a new round of integration talks with the YPG today. It was stated that the discussions would focus on how to implement the agreement reached this month under the mediation of the United States.

Sources from the Habur network based in Hasakah claimed that YPG leader Mazlum Abdi and one of the leaders from the organization's so-called political wing, Ilham Ahmed, came to the capital Damascus to negotiate with the Syrian government. The same sources also claimed that a ceasefire agreement was reached between the Syrian government and the YPG, which foresees the deployment of the Ministry of Interior's forces to the cities of Hasakah and Qamishli within two days.

"SECURITY WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR"

Sources within Syria also made statements confirming these claims. Accordingly, under the agreement reached with Mazlum Abdi, forces affiliated with the Ministry of Interior will be assigned to ensure security in Hasakah, Qamishli, and other internal regions. It is planned for elements of the terrorist organization to remain in their own villages and regions.

"IMPLEMENTATION WILL BEGIN WITHIN TWO DAYS"

Sources noted that necessary arrangements would be made for the integration of YPG elements into Syrian state institutions, and a framework with details to be announced later would be established. It is also among the claims that all military operations have currently been halted and that the implementation of the agreement is planned to begin within two days.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that the ceasefire with the terrorist organization YPG was extended for 15 days starting from January 24 at 23:00. The ministry stated that the extension of the ceasefire was due to the process of transporting ISIS detainees from prisons controlled by the YPG to Iraq. In a bomb attack carried out by the YPG, which violated the ceasefire, one person was killed and many others were injured yesterday in the village of Sefa located in the northeastern province of Hasakah.
