Diyarbakır, Bağlar district's rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, after the disappearance on August 21, the trial regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose body was found in Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days later on September 8, continues on its second day with the testimonies of witnesses as part of the investigation initiated by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The trial held at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court saw Narin Güran's murder investigation witness, her aunt Yasemin Gül, giving her testimony. Gül began her statement by saying that she was at home on the day Narin went missing and that she went to the village around 21:00 to participate in the search efforts. We came to the village and participated in the searches. President: Did Yüksel say, "Let Narin have a grave"? Yasemin Gül: Not like that, she said that because Tülin died. She said, "If she is dead, at least let her have a grave with her." Judge: Was there any bruising on Enes? Yasemin Gül: Yes, there was a slight bruise. Judge: On the day of the incident? Yasemin Gül: I don't remember. Judge: What was the fight between the women about? Yasemin Gül: When Narin was found, I went to the village with my husband. My sister was upset, she said, "May God not let anyone experience this." Maşallah came, reacted, and said, "May God curse you." I said, "Are you blaming us?" Then she said in Kurdish, "May God curse you, may my eyes go blind, may your neck break," but I don't know who she was talking to. She said it to all the women. Diyarbakır Bar Association lawyer: If such an event happened, if she was murdered, it is impossible for someone from outside the village to do it. Yasemin: You said a child could go missing or be killed in the village. If my sister had a romantic relationship, I would know about it. The court president allowed Yasemin Gül to go home because she was waiting for her children. At that moment, Yasemin Gül called out to her sister and greeted her, saying, "God is great, Yüksel, never lose hope in God." THE TRIAL STARTED YESTERDAYThe trial regarding the murder of Narin Güran, for which aggravated life imprisonment is sought for four defendants, started yesterday. In the first hearing held at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court, Narin Güran's mother, brother, and the confessing defendant Nevzat Bahtiyar, along with uncle Salim Güran, appeared before the judge for the first time. SECOND DAY OF THE CASE FOLLOWED BY TURKEYOn the second day of the Narin Güran case, the detained defendants were brought to the Diyarbakır Courthouse with prison transport vehicles from the Diyarbakır Penal Institutions Campus under strict security measures. Those attending the hearing were allowed into the courtroom after searches conducted at two separate points in front of the courthouse and inside. The detained defendants, uncle Salim, mother Yüksel, and brother Enes Güran, along with Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed during the investigation that he hid Narin's lifeless body in Eğertutmaz Stream, and their lawyers were present at the hearing.
