ALARMING FIRE IN A 26-STORY BUILDING
The fire grew rapidly. Upon citizens' reports, police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Some citizens were trapped in the building. Multiple people were affected by smoke and were transferred to nearby hospitals by ambulances.
26 PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who went to the front of the building where the fire broke out, announced that 26 people affected by the fire were hospitalized. In his statement, Yavaş said, "The fire spread from the electrical shaft to the upper floors, but there is nothing in the apartments. 26 people were also rescued with the help of the fire brigade, and they are in the hospital. So far, we have not heard anything bad. We have also received good news about the security guard who was said to be in bad condition."
