While the allegations of abuse and mistreatment of children at the 'Yuvamız İstanbul' nursery, affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), in the Güzeltepe neighborhood of Eyüpsultan district, have caused a significant uproar, new footage related to the incident has emerged.
THEY STRIPPED THE CHILDREN IN THE CORRIDOR
The footage shows children aged 0-6 being forced to change clothes in front of classroom doors and in common areas. In the recordings, a girl is seen changing her clothes in front of the door under the guidance of her teacher, while it is noticeable that she feels uncomfortable and embarrassed by the gazes of other children around her.
THEY SHOUTED, AND THEN WALKED OVER THE CHILDREN
The footage reflects a teacher shouting commands at the children and scolding some of them in a harsh tone. It also highlights moments where the teacher addresses a child trying to put on their coat loudly and criticizes the children for being insufficient during the preparation process. In another recording, a teacher is heard approaching a child sharply and asking them to put their shoes back in place.
THEY LEFT THE CHILDREN AND GRABBED THEIR PHONES
Additionally, the footage shows some children wandering unsupervised in the corridors during activity hours, while teachers are frequently seen attending to their phones.
