President Erdoğan made evaluations regarding the hot topics of domestic and foreign policy during his party's Central Executive Board (MKYK) meeting. Erdoğan announced that Özlem Vural Gürzel, the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz who resigned from the CHP, will join the AK Party.
Özlem Vural Gürzel, who was elected as the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz Municipality in place of Alaattin Köseler, who was arrested in a corruption investigation, recently announced that she had resigned from the CHP.
"I RECEIVED SUPPORT FROM THE AK PARTY AND MHP" Stating that she could not find support from her own party, Gürzel said, "The heavy accusations and false allegations directed at me have made my situation unbearable." In her statement, Gürzel expressed, "Nevertheless, I want it to be known that I have been supported and valued by the council members of the Justice and Development Party, the Nationalist Movement Party, and most importantly, the people of Beykoz."
Özlem Vural Gürzel Following Gürzel, CHP Municipal Council members Murat Uzun and Uğur Gökdemir also announced their resignations from the party.

According to the information obtained, it is expected that Erdoğan will pin the AK Party badge on Gürzel and the CHP resigning Beykoz Municipal Council members at the closing program of the AK Party Organization Academy on Saturday.
