One person died in a fire that broke out in a house in the Konak district of Izmir. The fire occurred at night in an apartment on the ground floor of a 6-story building located on 354th Street in the Barbaros neighborhood. Residents who noticed the fire, which started in the apartment belonging to Metin G. (66) for an undetermined reason, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police, health, and fire department teams were dispatched to the address upon the report. The fire was extinguished in a short time with the intervention of the fire department.
IDENTITY TO BE DETERMINED BY DNA RESULTS
During the inspection of the house, it was determined that one person had lost their life. After the public prosecutor's examination at the scene, the body was taken to the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for identification and autopsy. It was reported that the identity of the deceased will be confirmed after a DNA test, and the investigation into the incident continues.
