In the International Nimes Archery tournament held in France, 12-year-old Burcu Öncel, competing for the first time in the U15 category, became the world fourth by surpassing her older rivals.
The 28th International Nimes Archery tournament, organized by the World Archery Federation (World Archery-WA), was held in the city of Nimes, France this year.
COMPETED AGAINST OLDER INDIVIDUALS
Turkish athletes made a significant impact at the tournament. Burcu Öncel, a 12-year-old athlete from the Altınok Club, who competed in the U15 category for the first time, faced off against older opponents.
BURCU ÖNCEL IS THE WORLD FOURTH
In the competition, which featured 1,355 athletes from 50 countries, Öncel defeated her rivals and became the world fourth. It was also learned that this was Burcu Öncel's first time participating in an international competition.
