In a simultaneous operation carried out in Batman, 24 individuals who participated in street events in line with the calls of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization were detained. During the operation, one person wanted for various crimes and weapons were seized.
Protests had begun in Batman following the 'Trustee' decision issued by the Ministry of Interior for certain municipalities. After calls from the terrorist organization's media outlets, 24 individuals were detained as the streets turned into a battlefield.
In a statement from the Batman Governorship, the following expressions were used:
"It was stated that a simultaneous operation was carried out today to identify and capture individuals involved in the illegal violent street incidents occurring in the city, in line with calls made from the media outlets of the PKK/KCK armed terrorist organization."
The statement continued, "A total of 24 suspects, including 6 minors and 18 individuals, have been captured by our teams. During the operation, it was determined that one individual had 30 outstanding warrants for various crimes and was subsequently apprehended. Additionally, 1 blank-firing pistol, 1 magazine, and 14 blank-firing pistol cartridges, 1 slingshot, 10 marbles, 1 firecracker, 2 empty firework boxes, and 4 AK-47 cartridges were seized."
