In an illegal betting operation organized in Istanbul, 30 people were detained. Simultaneous raids were carried out against suspects who were running gambling through the websites 'Golbet' and 'Hasbet'.

In an illegal betting operation organized in 4 provinces centered in Istanbul, 30 suspects were detained. The Cyber Crime Unit of the Istanbul Police Department, in coordination with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, carried out work aimed at preventing illegal betting crimes and capturing the suspects.

It was determined that the suspects organizedly used businesses such as cafes, real estate offices, and "communication shops" to place bets and gamble through websites named "Golbet" and "Hasbet" using a method referred to as "closed circuit."

30 suspects, whose addresses and identities were identified by the teams, were caught in a simultaneous operation conducted in Istanbul, Şanlıurfa, Antalya, and Ağrı.

STATEMENT FROM THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE 

In a statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that the suspects identified as a result of technical and field studies, based on information that they placed bets and gambled through places such as cafes, real estate shops, and communication shops using the crime method referred to as "closed circuit" from the illegal betting sites named "Golbet" and "Hasbet," were conducting illegal betting activities.

In the statement, it was reported that the money movement in the bank accounts of 34 suspects mentioned in the investigation file between the years 2022-2025 amounted to 2 billion lira, and that simultaneous operations were carried out on 10 businesses in Istanbul, Şanlıurfa, Antalya, and Ağrı to seize digital materials evaluated to be used by the suspects in the crime, collect other evidence related to the crime, and capture the suspects.

The statement indicated that 30 suspects were detained with crime elements during the operation, 1 weapon and a large number of digital materials were seized, and efforts to capture the fugitives were ongoing.
