A 14-year-old boy working at a business in Aksaray ran away with his boss's vehicle, picked up his girlfriend, and started driving around. After a chase with the police, the boy was caught and threatened journalists with the words, "Aksaray is a small place; we will run into you where the police are not."
A child who escaped from his boss in Aksaray using his boss's vehicle went out for a drive with his girlfriend. The child driver, who also fled from the police teams that were alerted upon receiving a tip-off, was caught after a chase while threatening the press members who were filming him.
According to information obtained from the Aksaray New Industrial Site, 14-year-old I.O. took his boss's vehicle from the workplace and fled. Despite not having a driver's license, the child driver got behind the wheel and went out for a drive with his girlfriend in the stolen vehicle.
HE STOLE THE VEHICLE AND TOOK HIS GIRLFRIEND OUT FOR A DRIVE
Police teams were alerted upon the boss's tip-off. The teams, who saw the vehicle that the child had escaped in on the E-90 highway, signaled the child to 'stop.'
Not complying with the signal, I.O. began to flee from the police as a chase ensued between the child and the police. After a chase lasting about half an hour, the child driver was caught when the police blocked his path at the car dealers' site.
HE THREATENED THE JOURNALISTS
It was determined that I.O. did not have a driver's license when he was taken out of the vehicle, and upon realizing he was being filmed by journalists, the child threatened them, saying, "I didn't have a driver's license, as if I did something bad? If I had a license, I wouldn't have fled anyway, but Aksaray is a small place, we might run into you where the police are not."
I.O. was fined 15,600 TL for driving without a license and for not complying with the police's 'stop' signal, and he was taken to the police station for his statement. The vehicle was also impounded and taken to the parking lot.
