Nasıroğlu stated, "Of course, I want to mention this in Batman. We have the claim that Batman will become a metropolis. Why do we say Batman will become a metropolis? Because it has made successful moves in many areas. Right now, there is a reverse migration. In the past, people from Batman used to go to Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara. Interestingly, they have started to return. Not only people from Batman, but also those from Mardin, Elazığ, Şırnak, and Siirt are coming to Batman. Recently, we conducted a survey in schools with our Provincial Director of National Education. We have children coming from Istanbul and Izmir in our schools. What does this mean? It means families have come and settled. They have chosen Batman as their living space. They continue their working lives and their children's education in Batman. This is extremely valuable. It is extremely valuable, and when we look at the growth rate of Batman, we say that Batman will become a metropolis within 5 years. Therefore, we are preparing the infrastructure accordingly. We are establishing new organized industrial zones. Because there needs to be employment. You need to create areas that will somehow employ this incoming migration and increase job opportunities." he expressed.
"IN THE COMING YEARS, WE WILL ALSO PREVENT PROBLEMS RELATED TO HOSPITAL APPOINTMENTS" Prof. Dr. Keleş, a physician, made statements regarding complaints from citizens in the health sector, issues related to the Central Physician Appointment System (MHRS), and difficulties in finding appointments and doctors.
Keleş stated: "Let me put it this way, actually, when we go back a bit before the 2000s, we all remember that we had very serious problems. And after the 2000s, there were really revolutionary transformations in health during our government. If we were to explain these, we would need hours here, but at the point we have reached, especially regarding the problems in the appointment system, our Ministry of Health and the Minister have taken very serious measures in this regard. Actually, our problem is this. We have a tiered system in health, which consists of the first, second, and third tiers. The third tier refers to university hospitals or training hospitals. Naturally, with this transformation in health, there has been a tendency towards the third tier. What we actually need to do is to strengthen the first tier, that is, family health and family medicine. Our Minister has particularly emphasized strengthening the first tier. For this purpose, the family health centers have been strengthened both physically and technologically. I mean, if a citizen can have all their tests done and can be examined when they go to their family doctor, and if there is no problem with these, why should they prefer a third tier? Therefore, we need to solve this issue at the first tier. It should be noted that our third tier hospitals have started to fill up with unnecessary patients. By unnecessary, I mean those who do not need treatment but have questions in their minds. They wonder if they should go and have their tests done. We need to solve these issues at the first tier. I believe that third tier hospitals should be equipped and trained to deal with patients who particularly require treatment. We are doing very well. God willing, if we can establish this referral chain between the first and second tiers, I am sure that we will have also prevented the difficulties in making appointments at the third tiers, as the recent data shows. For example, recently, the ability to make appointments with family doctors has been affected. If you go to your family doctor and if your family doctor deems it appropriate, they can make an appointment for you at the hospital. A quota has been given to family doctors. This was also extremely important. Of course, we are going step by step. God willing, in the coming years, we will have also prevented the problems related to appointments."
MINISTER ŞİMŞEK HAD ALSO POINTED TO BATMAN On the other hand, during his recent visit to Batman for a series of openings and visits, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated, "Our Batman will probably become a metropolis within 7 to 10 years, at this rate.
