CHP announced that it has decided not to attend the opening ceremony of the new legislative year to be held by President Erdoğan in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Bedia Teymur, Haberler.com News Director Olgun Kızıltepe, and host Melis Yaşar during a live broadcast on Haberler.com, said, "Whether you like it or not, you have to be here with our President. Addressing the CHP's decision not to attend the Assembly's opening, Minister Tunç said, "On the first day of the Assembly, all parties must be here. "CAN THERE BE PROTEST AGAINST THE HEAD OF STATE?"
This is an Assembly that founded the Republic. An Assembly that managed the War of Independence. This Assembly established the Republic in 1923. Therefore, one of the three pillars of the state is the legislature; if you have no respect for the legislature, then how can you believe in democracy? The other is the executive! Can there be disrespect or protest against the head of the state, is such a thing possible? You can criticize, but you have to do your job. Almost every day, there are outrageous accusations, criticisms, and smear campaigns against the judiciary...
"THE PATH FOLLOWED BY THE OPPOSITION IS NOT A PATH"
There is a main opposition that constantly attacks the three pillars that uphold the state. This is also seen by our nation. It is not possible to come to power by constantly attacking these pillars. Therefore, the path followed by the opposition is not a path," he said.
