One of the four friends who entered an abandoned minibus to spend the night in the Çiğli district of İzmir tragically lost his life in a fire that broke out. The moments of the fire starting and growing were captured second by second by security cameras, and three young people were detained in connection with the incident.
FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE MINIBUS
According to the information received, a fire broke out in the minibus, which was parked in the Ata Sanayi Site in Küçük Çiğli neighborhood and had been unused for a long time, for an undetermined reason. Upon notification, police, health, and fire teams were dispatched to the area.
16-YEAR-OLD BOY DIED IN THE FIRE
It was determined that Abdullah Elali, a 16-year-old foreign national found in the minibus, lost his life despite the intervention of the teams to extinguish the fire. Elali's body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the investigation at the scene.
3 PEOPLE DETAINED
Meanwhile, three children who were last reported to be with Elali in the minibus were taken to the Child Branch Directorate for their statements. The fire was recorded by the security camera of a nearby business.
