THE EXPULSION DECISION WAS MADE UNANIMOUSLY
The Republican People's Party (CHP) High Disciplinary Board made the expulsion decision against Hasbi Dede on the grounds that he had engaged in "attitudes and behaviors incompatible with party membership." It was stated that the decision was made unanimously.
HE IS BEING TRIED FOR HARASSMENT ALLEGATIONS
A legal process was initiated against Dede for sexual harassment due to messages he sent to Tuana Elif Torun, born in 2009, via social media. Following this development, he was also suspended from his position.

After the expulsion decision, Dede announced on his social media account that he has resigned from his party.
In his statement, Dede said, “I am resigning so that the discussions conducted over my person do not become a greater burden to the Republican People's Party, which I am devoted to, and to my fellow travelers.”
