One of the legends of the NBA, Kevin Durant, has signed a new two-year contract worth $90 million with the Houston Rockets. The 37-year-old superstar's deal also includes a player option for the 2027-28 season.
One of the most accomplished forwards in the NBA, Kevin Durant, has reached an agreement with the Houston Rockets for a new 2-year, $90 million contract. The deal was confirmed to ESPN by Durant's business partner, Rich Kleiman.
The contract also includes a player option for the 2027-28 season. With this new extension, Durant's total contract value has reached $144.7 million.

Durant will earn $54.7 million in the final year of his current contract. This figure stands out as one of the highest contract amounts for a 37-year-old NBA player.
SEVEN-TEAM TRADE FROM PHOENIX TO HOUSTON
After playing for the Phoenix Suns last season, Durant joined the Houston Rockets through a complex trade agreement involving seven teams. The Rockets management aims to blend experience with their young core by retaining the veteran star.
DURANT'S PERFORMANCE LAST SEASON
In the previous season with the Phoenix Suns, Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists, while shooting 52.7% from the field and 43.0% from three-point range. The star, who has been selected as an All-Star 15 times and to the All-NBA First Team 6 times, won the MVP award in the 2013-14 season.
