New footage has emerged regarding the incident in which a luxury yacht worth 45 million lira sank just 15 minutes after being launched into the sea at a shipyard in Zonguldak. The videos, recorded by a crew member who jumped into the water to escape, capture moments of the crew reacting with curses as the boat sank.
A luxury yacht worth 45 million TL, built at a shipyard in the Ereğli district of Zonguldak, sank 15 minutes after being delivered to its owner and launched into the sea. The yacht's owner and 3 crew members jumped into the water to save themselves, while one of them recorded the moment of the yacht's sinking with a mobile phone and shouted curses.
The incident occurred around 14:30 off the coast of the Ereğli district. The luxury yacht named D.T., which was completed in approximately 5 months and delivered to its owner from Istanbul, capsized and sank about 200 meters offshore, 15 minutes after being launched from the shipyard.
CLAIM OF ENGINEERING FAULT
The owner of the yacht, along with 2 crew members and the captain, swam to the shore. Initial reports suggest that the yacht sank due to an engineering fault.
CURSES SHOUTED IN THE WATER
Meanwhile, one of the crew members who jumped into the water recorded the moments with a mobile phone. In the shared video, the person was seen shouting curses in frustration at what was happening.
