A first occurred after 66 years at China's magnificent military parade. For the first time, the leaders of China, Russia, and North Korea came together, while the dialogue between Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin left a mark on the ceremony. In response to Jinping's statement, "When a person reaches the age of 70, they still remain a child," Putin replied, "With biotechnology, organs can be replaced indefinitely. Immortality can even be achieved."
China hosted a grand military parade to celebrate Victory Day on September 3, marking the victory over Japan in World War II.
MORE THAN 20 LEADERS ATTENDED THE CEREMONY
At the ceremony hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping, more than 20 leaders were present, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, the leader of Myanmar's military government Min Aung Hlaing, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also attended the ceremony.
A FIRST IN 66 YEARS
The gathering of the leaders of China, Russia, and North Korea at the ceremony for the first time in 66 years was interpreted as a message of unity against the Western world, while a dialogue between Jinping and Putin left a significant mark on the military parade.
The dialogue between the two leaders was as follows;
Jinping: In the past, people rarely lived to be 70 years old. Now, when you reach 70, you still remain a child.
Putin: With biotechnology, organs can be replaced indefinitely. Immortality can even be achieved.
Jinping: There are those who predict that people will live up to 150 years in this century.
